UFC Fight Night 145 Daily Fantasy Picks

Prague gets to host its first ever UFC event this weekend. While the card as a whole lacks a lot in the way of relevant fights (outside of the main event and Petr Yan), there should be enough good fun action to go around.

I use DraftKings for my UFC daily fantasy fix, so if you don’t have an account you can sign up here (and get a 50% bonus on your initial deposit). Also, you can check out the scoring criteria here. Now let’s get down to business.

Value Picks

  • Dwight Grant’s ($8,000) UFC debut didn’t go as planned, but his opponent this weekend, Carlo Pedersoli can’t even spell the word defense. While Pedersoli is probably the better overall fighter, Grant’s KO power and the Italian’s lack of head movement (or any real defensive movement), should result in a KO for the DWTNCS alum.
  • Marco Polo Reyes vs. Damir Hadzovic ($7,400) is going to be fire. Both fighter were born to throw bombs, but the fact that Damir has a little defense and seems to be a tad more poised makes me lean his way. And his price tag doesn’t hurt. Anyway, this fight is going to be fun.

Avoid

  • Michal Oleksiejczuk ($8,900) is friggin tough, but has zero defense. His opponent this weekend, Gian Villante, will throw for 15 minutes, and a lot of those shots should land. I’m not saying Villante wins (no matter how much of a bro he is), but I am saying that almost $9K is a bit of a risk for s fighter who will be tagged all night long.
  • Rustam Khabilov ($8,700) is totally going to win his fight. But a fighter who’s last four winning DFS point totals were 54, 62, 71, and 52 is not a fighter that I want to roster.
