The UFC is live on ESPN+ this weekend from Nashville, TN, in what is a rather random card, headlined by a very random main event. Make it better by winning some money on it.
I use DraftKings for my UFC daily fantasy fix, so if you don’t have an account you can sign up here (and get a 50% bonus on your initial deposit). Also, you can check out the scoring criteria here. Now let’s get down to business.
Value Picks
- Jordan Espinosa ($7,500) is making his official UFC debut this weekend, but has shown some serious power during his two stints on DWTNCS. His opponent, Eric Shelton, is a decent wrestler, but Espinosa has also shown enough in that department to most likely keep this fight standing.
- I probably shouldn’t be picking against the “Violent Bob Ross” Luis Pena, but Steven Peterson ($7,000) could provide some sneaky value this weekend. His game is fairly meat and potatoes, but Pena has shown enough inconsistency in his short career where such a straight forward game might just win the day.
Avoid
- Stephen Thompson ($9,300). Enough said.
- As mentioned above, Eric Shelton ($8,700) has some real skills, but this just probably isn’t the weekend where those skills will be showcased. Look elsewhere.
