This weekend in Brazil, Thug Rose Namajunas defends her belt against the tank that is Jessica Andrade. And because it’s in Brazil, Anderson Silva, Jose Aldo, and even Antonio Rogerio Nogueira are on the card.
I use DraftKings for my UFC daily fantasy fix, so if you don’t have an account you can sign up here (and get a 50% bonus on your initial deposit). Also, you can check out the scoring criteria here. Now let’s get down to business.
- Thiago Alves ($8,400) is getting older, and is not quite the same vicious athlete that he once was. However, he still possesses real power – power that can be plied on an overaggressive striker like Laureano Staropoli.
- Priscila Cachoeira ($7,300) is winless in her UFC career so far, but she is extremely aggressive. In a low-level fight, that aggressiveness makes her roster price very attractive.
- Jered Cannonier ($8,700) is big and strong and Anderson Silva is old. But Cannonier has also been flummoxed by far less creative strikers than Silva. I see Silva doing weird shit while Cannonier frustratingly follows him around the cage.
- Warrley Alves ($8,600) is a really good fighter, but Sergio Moreas is really good in his own right. The striking will be relatively even, but Moreas has elite BJJ skills.
