UFC Fight Night 152 Daily Fantasy Picks

This week ends in a Saturday, so there must be a UFC card that night. This weekend’s card is an above average ESPN+ event, headlined by a contender vs. contender matchup in Rafael dos Anjos and Kevin Lee.

I use DraftKings for my UFC daily fantasy fix, so if you don’t have an account you can sign up here (and get a 50% bonus on your initial deposit). Also, you can check out the scoring criteria here. Now let’s get down to business.

Value Picks

  • Michael Pereira ($7,300) is making his UFC debut, and looks to be an aggressive, flashy, and fun striker. Luckily for us the matchmakers pitted him against Danny Roberts, who is willing to brawl with opponents. This one should be fun, but Roberts’s defensive inadequacies should provide Pereira plenty of opportunities to finish this thing.
  • Ed Herman ($7,400) is slow as shit. But he is also tough as shit, and has a good chance of using his veteran craft to touch Patrick Cummins’s glass jaw. Cummins is rightfully the favorite, but there’s enough risk there to justify rostering Herman at that price.

Avoid

  • Desmond Green ($9,500) is the favorite in this fight in his hometown, but his style just simply does not lend itself to DFS value. Sure, he KO’d Ross Pearson in his last fight, but a finish is wildly out of style for Green. I’m expecting another grinding win her for him, one that doesn’t justify that kind of price.
  • Danny Roberts ($8,900) is a fighter that that I always look at rostering. However, I don’t like the matchup for him this time around – and as mentioned above, his opponent looks to be the value pick here.
