UFC Fight Night 157 Daily Fantasy Picks

It’s criminal that a fight card headlined by a UFC champion with one of the most entertaining fighting styles starts at 3am eastern… Yes, somehow, Jessica Andrade is both incredibly entertaining and criminally underrated.

Despite the abhorrent start time (I get it, this fight is taking place in China), there actually is a lot to like about this card. Action runs rampant up and down, especially in the co-main event pitting Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos against Li Jingliang. Perhaps the 6am main card will pair nicely with your steak and eggs breakfast.

I use DraftKings for my UFC daily fantasy fix, so if you don’t have an account you can sign up here (and get a 50% bonus on your initial deposit). Also, you can check out the scoring criteria here. Now let’s get down to business.

Value Picks

  • As I mentioned above, Jessica Andrade ($8,700) is criminally underrated. And while a price tag of $8,700 isn’t necessarily a steal, her opponent, Weili Zhang, like to come forward, which plays right into Andrade’s KO power.
  • Jun Yong Park ($7,400) vs. Anthony Hernandez should be nothing but action. Park is the cheaper, and more technical, of the two, so I am rolling with him.

Avoid

  • Damir Ismagulov ($9,000) is definitely once again the favorite, but has so far shown an inability to finish UFC opponents, or rack up a ton of DFS points, no matter how outmatched they are.
  • Khadis Ibragimov (9,300). I’ll just say one thing – $9,200 is quite the price tag for a debuting fighter. Especially a debuting fighter who’s opponent has TKO’d his last five opponents.
