I know that Brazil turns out for fights, but man, seems like they kind of got shafted this weekend in Sao Paulo. At least they get a few Brazilian legends – wait, Shogun is still fighting???? At least he has a great matchup (which unfortunately the DraftKings algorithm also picked up).
I use DraftKings for my UFC daily fantasy fix, so if you don’t have an account you can sign up here (and get a 50% bonus on your initial deposit). Also, you can check out the scoring criteria here. Now let’s get down to business.
Value Picks
- Bobby Green ($7,800) can be incredibly frustrating. However, his matchup this weekend against a 41-year old Francisco Trinaldo, along with his decent price, make Green worth the gamble. His speed and volume should win him this one and get plenty of DFS points in the process.
- Luiz Garagorri ($7,000) has not faced the greatest of competition, but he has solid kickboxing and seems to be willing to capitalize on the openings that his opponent gives him. Ramos is good, but still provides enough openings to give Garagorri his shot.
Avoid
- The aforementioned Ricardo Ramos ($9,200) is a young and aggressive fighter, which are usually two characteristics that I love in DFS fighter. However, he has not yet seemed to quite capitalize on those attributes, and this weekend he faces a young fighter who has capitalized so far in Garagorri. I like Ramos, just not $9,200 worth…
- Tracy Cortez ($8,800) is debuting wrestler. Deputing up a weight class. I have know idea why her price is closing in on $9K.
