UFC Dallas: Miocic vs. Dos Santos / FW Jason Knight

The Broest Bros You Know Ep. 52

The Bros are back to cover the UFC’s return to the great state of Texas! This episode covers UFC 211 and all the associated fun. Plus we cover Canelo vs. GGG, who are officially boxing this September! Will Mayweather/McGregor still happen this year or does this severely stifle the already waning momentum? Will it happen ever? Please?

UFC featherweight Jason “The Kid” Knight joins us to talk about his training, the unheralded behind-the-scenes staff that prepares him for the octagon, and his upcoming match with Chas Skelly. The Bros then get right into it, discussing the #UFC211 fight card.

Eddie Alvarez vs.Dustin Poirier and the challenge of overcoming setbacks. David Branch is still a thing and he trains with Renzo Gracie #dontcallitacomeback. We have a battle of older grapplers against younger strikers in Edgar vs. Rodriguez in what should be a fight of the night candidate. Then there is a risky business welterweight fight for Demian Maia, who goes against Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal (undefeated in the streets). Will we see another Jacare Souza vs. Whittaker moment?

Next, a pair of title fights to finish an excellent card. First up, a dangerous test for Joanna Champion in her fight against the female John Lineker clone in Jessica Andrade. In a battle of skillful technician against a powerful berserker, the women’s strawweight title fight is fire. After that we’re treated to a boxing-filled rematch between Stipe Miocic and Junior dos Santos for the heavyweight title. Get Mutha F’ing Excited!
