After weeks of fine UFC cards, we’re getting back to one of the big boys. A heavyweight title fight headlines the card (a rematch between Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic), and Nate Diaz decided that he’ll step back into the octagon as well, which is always fun.
I use DraftKings for my UFC daily fantasy fix, so if you don’t have an account you can sign up here (and get a 50% bonus on your initial deposit). Also, you can check out the scoring criteria here. Now let’s get down to business.
Value Picks
- It can be hard to peg down exactly where the mind of Nate Diaz ($7,900) is at, but he can always be counted on to bring the pressure. Anthony Pettis has had a resurgence, and this fight should provide plenty of opportunities for both fighters. I’m going with the less expensive option.
- Paulo Costa ($7,600) faces a huge test this weekend against Yoel Romoero. Costa has been on quite the tear, winning his first four UFC fights, all by KO. Is Romero too much, too soon? Quite possibly. But at less than $8K, I am here for the ride.
Avoid
- Hannah Cifers ($9,200) is a fine fighter, but nothing special. Sure her opponent, Jodie Esquibel isn’t anything to write home about either, but this is just one of those fights that won’t move the needle. Spend your cap space elsewhere.
- Drakkar Klose ($9,000) possesses a style that, while effective, is simply not geared towards DFS points. You can get better bang for your buck elsewhere.
